Ashton Kutcher told me to be sexy - Teen Choice Awards 2013 acceptance speech

Screenstar Ashton Kutcher, practical joker host of MTV Punk'D, reveals his real name is actually 'Chris' and Ashton is really his middle name.
He accepted a Teen Choice award but surprised the audience with his unconventional speech.
With the poise of a public orator, Ashton got 'real' and talked about things a teenager really needs to know.

It feels like Ashton is finally done with the cougar hunger games and is moving on strong.
I love the simplicity and arrangement of his points.
1. Opportunity
2. Be Sexy
3. Living Life

400: Recipe + Dreams

This is a reverse chronological order of the Life of Royce, in 400 posts.
It's interesting how I've unintentionally documented my life here for all to see for so many years.
I remember when blogging first became a trend, I just thought it was something cool people did to show that you're tech-savvy.

Years later, I realize this is my history book. If I die, this would probably be revisited by those left behind.

Funny how we all say left behind. As if, we're all so sure that we're heading somewhere first, and then others will eventually follow.

Like I just read, "Reality is but a collective hunch". We all simply guessing at what 'Is' and what 'Will be'.
I hate it when I get into that philosophical impasse.

Today I made a super yummy meal by accident, So I am noting it down for future reference.

The Superb Salmon Soup :
Ingredients-
  • half a fillet of salmon
  • a handful of spinach
  • sliced truss tomatoes
  • 2 pork & mushroom balls
  • one clove of shallot
  • sliced swiss mushrooms
  • pickled japanese ginger
  • bits of turkey spam
Toss it all in a 13 or 15 inch pot and bring to boil
(I know it doesn't sound very appetizing, but HellO! I'm Royce. I know yummy when I taste it)

Flavouring-
  • All Spice
  • Soy Sauce
  • Oyster Sauce
  • Salt
Then stir and eat.

So simple. So tasty. Salivate.
Benefits : It heats up the body so prepare for a good sweat. It rids you of gas/wind because of the ginger; so not a very polite meal to have around guests. lol.

Operation dream

Last night I had another dream, I was on the operating table, looking at my open chest with the heart pumping in the middle. The surgeon was staring maniacally at my heart, as if shooting lasers with her crazy eyes.

I zoomed in on my heart, and saw that it was translucent. It's skin was the opaque layer of a jellyfish skin with bits of onyx in it. A tear in my heart appeared but did not bleed. Instead, my heart expanded and sprouted out of my chest.

The surgeon whose face was behind the surgical mask squinted hard, lifted her palms towards the operating table. Out of her hands shot many tiny silver pellets in slow motion. Like the 'Matrix', the little bullets headed for my sliced chest.

In panic, my outer self stretched out a hand in front of the pellets and held them in the air. With a very real pressure, I could feel myself push the air, pellets and kinetic force back towards the surgeon. The pellets move away and sped up towards the surgeons terrified eyes.

The silver pellet was reflected in the close up view of her eyes as her iris dilated in fear.
I woke up to the musty morning of Melbourne.

Wow my sketches remind me of Heroes- Isaac Mendez, the precognitive artist. I believe me and my sister have a little bit of that.

Or perhaps it's part of the whole Revelations chapter.
And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Never thought I'd quote scripture on my blog. But this is the way the bible probably started out as, before it was translated, reduced and reiterated into almost ridiculously accurate verses.
Verses that is still considered The Word of God by Christians today, as my Bible Knowledge teacher used to say " As Christians, for all debates on Christianity, we take the bible as the final word and the highest authority."

Therefore verses such as these remain our highest authority-
Deuteronomy 22:11
Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together
And Deuteronomy 22:12
Make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear

Hurry! Go make cloaks of only pure wool or linen and make tassels on the four corners of the cloak! Thou shalt not commit anymore fashion sins anymore!

Haha, I really have issues with all these religious stuff.
That is why life should be simple and I should just sketch pretty women.

Happy Phase

Its been awhile. Since my grandma's stroke scare, I am happy to announce that things are way better.

My grandma went for acupuncture treatment that vastly improved her initial condition. My mom says its amazing for a woman to be able to survive four strokes. yes my grandma has had four strokes during her lifetime. But then again, we're talking about my ex-gangster 'Dai Kar Che' grandma here.

I guess its expected that a strong woman like her won't go down easily.

Like any obstacle, when you get past it, there is a sense of relief, excitement and accomplishment.

I do feel proud of myself for overcoming my fears and deciding to live and treasure every moment. It forces me to reassess my life goals. Imagine my own funeral, and what I want people to be saying about me. That is the standard by which I live my daily life towards.

In the meantime, that doesn't mean its not fun to do so :)

Bangkok's trip was amazing! I guess, after hanging out with Mint, Polli and Khun in Melbourne, it was nice to feel like I was visiting them in their own home. I've gone to Hatyai many many times but it was my first time to Bangkok.

The wonderful thing was that so many of us managed to meet up in Bangkok. so it felt like a wonderful reunion of sorts. I really think of them as life-long friends that are geographically distant, so any physical time together is extremely precious to me.

I'm also glad Rachel came along together in a 'spur of the moment' decision. both of us needed the getaway.

Needless to say its a trip worth remembering every moment of. Definitely one of my best holidays. Its almost painful to know that its over.

But as long as I'm still alive, there's always tomorrow :)

Here to make you remember,
remember all the times, I passed you by;
Oh please let me forget you, guess I'll have to pretend to,
pretend that I don't mind, that your still blind.

Oh you won't know of the things I sacrifice;
You can go on living your so called perfect life~

I hope you will bleed, fall down on your knees
Beg with all your mortality
till you can't even breath.
Analyse these words, read between the lines
Could become your venus
just give me the time.

Stars at 2008's end

I think, when you whisper to the night sky, the stars can hear us.
And when you look up; and someone you're thinking of looks up too. The two are connected.

You share the same night sky even though the other is far far away. If you wish hard enough. Maybe the stars will whisper your message to your loved ones too.

Some people even believe that stars are responsible for a person's character, which they call Horoscopes. Some believe they influence destinies; especially those who would be lovers.

Well, Venus must have blessed Aquarius because my lovely Aquarian cousin, Teresa, has finally "put a ring on it" after a 7-year relationship.

I have been inspired by a certain star in my life to appreciate those around me.
There are twelve constellations in my sky, like the twelve horoscopes.
Each shining like a supernova in my life.

You know who you are, always sending me sweet and encouraging messages. Making me laugh when my day is feeling pointless. A small signal from you burns brightly in my heart for days.

These people do it really often and I feel, deserves my public thanks and loving~

Rachell (Your heart is open to me, when all others beg to get into yours. I feel so privelleged.our spa sessions and movie nites does wonders to my mood! no matter how bad the day, You're there to be my emotional healer.)

Shaza (Your constant care was felt even when I was in Melbourne, you never let distance get in your way. I'll always appreciate that, and hope to learn from you. Distance shall not impede me! My fearless inspirer.)

Cynthia (Your listening ear has been there for so many years. I feel like you know me more than I know myself sometimes. For better or worse. lol. You really are the witness of my life, Lou poh.)

Khun (Your chats with me broke through my wall. It made the ending of 2008 so super fun & exciting. Even now, back in KL, when most of my close friends are far away, you still take away the loneliness. You are my brother and my heart. )

Winson (Your timing is always just right. When I'm in trouble, you appear. You know how to make me feel safer and you do the sweetest things for me. You are my protector, always watching out for me. I am secure when you're there.)

You guys made 2008 My happiest year so far. From the Beginning when Markus and Winson and a big gang of us were gallivanting around, right to this day, The last day of this year.

The rest of you out there, as many as the stars in the skies. You know I love you too. If you've taken the time to check out my life, you have received what I can give. A moment in my life that was shared with you.

May the stars always shine bright for you.
Happy New Year!

Moo Moo, Murdered, Marinated, Munched

The very next day, i woke up totally fine.
I guess Emerald went to sleep, and never woke up. After all, she brought a storm to Gold Coast that was splashed all over the news. It must have been one unnatural storm.

The Best Steakhouse on Broadbeach.

The funny thing in Queensland, is that everyone dresses up to the nines for dinner.
Melbourne feels so casual compared to this.
The wait list to get into Moo Moo was so long. Even with a booking.
At least there was pretty things to look at.

The interior was really nice too..
I asked them to change the lighting.

Even the wine was nice.

Most people would follow with a flurry of gorgeous food pics.
But I'm not like most people.
Therefore, to encourage you people to come for my 22nd Birthday (which I am planning in advance)
I shall merely show a teaser.

So remember,
4th May 2009
Gold Coast
Dinner at Moo Moo, Swimming with Dolphins and fun in the sun :)
